Release the Grief

Release the Grief

This past month of October 2019, Liza helped me so much with a very personal distress I was experiencing.

I found out in late July this year that a family whom I knew had been murdered. Their step-father had set fire to their home, killing all three children and the mother. My son was friends with the daughter. She had a warm smile and a hug waiting for me whenever I saw her. I had worked with the youngest child at the preschool he attended. He was kind and gentle, always helping other kids when they needed something. I can remember seeing his mom pushing him around in the stroller when he was just a newborn baby. My impression of their family was warm and friendly.

To hear about that family being killed sent me into a very deep grief. I wondered how anything like this could happen. Why? What was the purpose of this? I was unable to return to work in the Fall, because of bad physical side effects I was experiencing. I could not see myself walking into another classroom again. Just the thought would make me cry.  I was overwhelmed and felt stuck.

I shared with Liza about the tragedy, and she planned out some healing sessions for me. Liza has a very kind and loving presence about herself. I felt very comfortable receiving healing work from her. I loved working with her because I could be honest about my grief, and I did not feel judgment coming back to me. I felt an understanding and it was like I knew she could help me get past this hurdle.

Since the healing sessions I am in a far better mental, emotional, and physical state. On a scale of one to ten, with ten being the highest, I went from a ten to a zero in the subject of grief.  Instead of me thinking of the children as being lost or crying, if I thought of their faces, I see them now resting in peace and that peace is in me. That is a huge significant change in my perspective. I thank you fully from the bottom of my heart for helping me release that grief. I look forward to subbing again this school year for preschool!

During the process of working on grief for the children lost, I became aware that it was deeply connected to, almost added onto, a huger “pile” of grief that I had been holding onto. In 2008 to 2010 I lost my grandparents and two other relatives who had been a huge influence on my life. My grandparents had helped raise me. Not only that, but in 2017 my neighbor had passed and I was there to help her. Then to add another layer I was a caregiver for six years, and I help with hospice clients. So my grief “pile” was huge to say the least. Now I feel a much more sense of peace inside when thinking about all of these people who I perceived as lost. They are all resting in peace and okay. I just had to release that and be at peace myself.

I am looking forward to returning to work now. I have a new inner peace about those who have passed away. I am more focused on what they brought into my life instead of looking at it as a loss in my life. Overall I am very grateful for the healing work that Pranic Healing has helped me with, and am very happy about moving forward. I highly recommend Liza as a Pranic Healer.
